Hi! My name is Ethan (he/him), and I'm a doctoral student in the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas. My research broadly explores media psychology and people’s perceptions of news media. More specifically, I study judgment and decision making to explore the cognitive mechanisms that people use to determine media credibility.

My work further examines how metacognition and partisan identity influence these evaluations within a polarized media environment.

I also hold a Master of Arts in Media and Journalism, a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media Production, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing—all from Kent State University.

Born and raised in Akron, Ohio—the home of Devo, Chrissie Hynde, and LeBron James—I'm an Ohioan at heart. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I'd love to talk!
